Lindsay is widely known in the global sugar industry, having specific knowledge of major sugar industries, coupled with a high-level understanding of the key economic and policy drivers of the world sugar & sweeteners market. In his previous role as senior economist at the International Sugar Organization, he chaired and spoke at many sugar conferences, particularly in Asia and Africa.  His specific industry knowledge has been enhanced by regular field trips to sugar industries large and small in Africa, the Caribbean and South East Asia in particular.
